This is disgusting! I know that we as a population eat more meat than is healthy, but blaming global warming on cattle is the most hypocritical thing I've seen in a long time. Seeing as I work with cattle in my job, and I've taken college courses ha…

Hi Debra,

Glad to be a part of the movement. I have a great song called "greenhouse glasses" I sing it for kids about CO2 and burning fossil fuels and reversing climate change. How can I upload it?

best,

Peter

Hi Mark and Debra,
I've tried several more times to upload an mp3 from my computer but still get the same error message: Fatal error: Call to a member function getOffset() on a non-object in /apps/socialnetworkmain/widgets/music/lib/php-reader/MPEG/ABS/VBRIHeader.php on line 91

Debra and Mark -- HOW UNCANNY that "Using music to save the rainforest" is one of your first visible projects........

From Small Planet "the rainforest burns hot tears on Your sky......."
Oh I'm crying with you --- cause there's so
much to lose..........
Are we learning to care about You??????

Thanks Debra,

I now want to contact my brother about the quality of the MP3's we will upload. What is the best quality MP3 your new web-site can handle? I think you and/or Mark can probably send me the technical information, and I can relay it to my brother. I just do not have an ample vocabulary to cover the "stats" that go with recording-studio equipment!!!!! Duh.

THANK YOU. Linda Rosch

About myself:
I am co-director of Earth Recovery. When I was young I had a strong sense that a dramatic change was coming that would affect all human beings profoundly. I saw a death and rebirth, a time when a life threatening challenge would test, unite and elevate our consciousness. When I became acutely aware of climate change, and Mark brought me this project, I recognized that my vision was coming about, and that my work was cut out for me. I am here to be of service to the best of my ability.

I deeply love the arts. Nature and the arts bring me home to myself. I grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles. But from the time I spend a month in the woods as summer camp, to the summer I spent on Kauai's north shore, I have found the wilderness to be my refuge and saving grace. I see trees as living entities of great intelligence, awesome power and stillness. We are dependent upon them for our very lives.

My interest in the arts and earth recovery is very personal for they are my passion. I have been a modern dancer. Dance is my first passion. I love the fusing of creativity, music and physical motion. I love to write as well, poetry, but all writing, short essays, letter, whatever. I'd like to become a web journalist for earth's recovery. I intend to use this format for self-expression. I love to read literature. Now, I am reading mostly non-fiction for this work. Piano was my big hobby, but I haven't played since much since I developing ER. I enjoy a cultured city like Manhattan with public transportation. I feel very at home in Yosemite and in Kauai and northern California is my favorite place. I'd rather be in the ocean swimming more than anything. When I can't swim in a warm, clean sea, I start to feel like a fish out of water.

As a professional, I am retired from stress management consulting and teaching yoga. I have owned and managed small businesses. I have produced educational, art or community service projects and events. This is my first non-profit business. I hope with all my heart that these efforts will truly help all human beings to live in a better, more intelligently designed, prosperous and just society. And that we can come together and be joyful as we re-dream the world.

Does One World Perish and Another Begin?

She spit me up out of froth
out of green mystery
a watery bubble
foaming and spilling
into crazy conundrum,
gazillions of life forms

colors
that need each other.
This is what we must understand
(or breakneck pow, curse, catastrophe,
conniption, double doom dither).

For to perceive the oceanic
web of interconnectivity—
(longevity, community, electricity, conductivity, serenity, infinity, unity, immensity)
(spines, hands, heads, feet, molecules, protons, currents, chemistry, faces,
fingers inter… Continue

Tree of Life

TREE of LIFE

1. Rooting down,
springing in every direction;
stretching up
wearing cloud ribbons⎯
streaming and white.

I’m hugging a liquidambar.
Its roan truck tickles my cheeks like a gritty new beard.
Its leaves like a pointy field hat all
Ruby red and burnished cop… Continue

Star Song

STAR SONG

In my dream—there are two people
Who sing about the Stars. And I

the listener and watcher both
hear solos and duets that
describe the light mad sky
in ink black night. Let me see—

a triad of constellations sizzle,
a silver planet is high mystery
for what might breathe and move there.

Bodies animate—cities, cafes, tribes, gardens, hordes, systems,
fiery corridors, spirals, spins, spreads,
satsang summits, star nurseries, baby galaxies,
you, me . . .

Two voices sing into space of as… Continue

Save The Children

I went downtown today to buy a supplement; apparently I am vitamin D3 deficient. SUNSHINE in a pill. Well, good example of interdependence; the need for sunshine to be healthy that is, not the pill part.

Outside of Starbucks a man was fundraising for Save The Children. I knew about Save the Childr… Continue

350 Is The Number To Tattoo Into Our Brains

James Hanson, leading, now infamous, and thank God outspoken U.S. climatologist, issued a critical scientific assessment of climate change. He declared that we must limit carbon concentrations in the atmosphere to below 350 ppm (parts per million) within the next decade or face dire consequences.

"If humanity wishes to preserve a planet similar to that on which civilization developed and to which life on Earth is adapted, paleoclimate evidence and ongoing climate change suggest that CO2 will ne… Continue
